This is one of my favorite corals and you are not going to see her anywhere else! In the first shot you can see her at her finest under 14K Phoenix Halides with Actinics. She is under Moderate lighting there. The other pics are all under lower light conditions. She loves 14K, 20K, T5’s, and VHO’s! Give her moderate light and current. If she is losing color give her more light. If she is not opening up, give her less light. She was imported in the late 1990’s as an accidental stowaway coral. We found her as a tiny 1/2 inch scrap growing on the side of a different coral rock. We cut her away and cared for her, lovingly, watching her grow up. It took many years for her to reach maturity and we had her pegged for a very slow grower until we discovered Cyclop Eeze! She slurps that stuff up and begs for more! Her growth increased drastically when fed Cyclop Eeze was fed to the tank! She is now a nice quick grower without being an out of control weed like standard Kenya Trees are.
