Colorado Coral Farm

About Us

I am Doug Hollister and I opened Colorado Coral Farm up for business in 1998.  I originally opened as a small scale, wholesale farm to sell captive propagated corals to local fish and reef shops in the Denver, CO area.   Over the years, I have expanded to the point where I am now able to offer my healthy,  fully captive propagated and captive grown, corals directly to you.  We are very much a family business and my children, Max and Camille, help me out with much of the farming.  Watch for the corals that they have grown out from frags!  We are a part time business and we operate the farm out of our house, allowing us to give our corals the attention they deserve.

Coral farming, for us, is truly a passion that I love to share with my children!  My son, Max, is a fragging madman and heads up my Divisions Department.  My daughter, Camille, is more knowledgeable about corals than most of the employees at the local fish shops.  She is my Sales Leader.  My wife, Quinn, supports us and puts up with the smell of cutting Xenias and cleaning protein skimmers!  We have a sincere love of the coral reefs and the animals that we propagate.  It is a supplement to our real source of income, which is a residential window repair service.

Our farm is a bit different from others in that we keep our mother corals trimmed to a fairly small size.  This allows us to offer you a very wide variety of coral frags to choose from.  As a result, our inventory of what is available for sale is anticipated to be constantly changing.  Please keep checking back to see what is currently available.

In our spare time, we enjoy writing and performing worship songs at our church.  We enjoy fly tying and fly fishing together while Mom comes along to birdwatch.  We enjoy biking together as a family, and racing off road radio controlled cars.
